The most influential German consumers' watchdog 'Stiftung Warentest' has made an important pitch against eco or bio food. Albeit only more expensive (plus 30 per cent), it cannot 'completely' sideline conventionally produced food.

Organic foods can, however, help you lose weight. In your wallet.

Thanks so much for posting this. I've been beating myself up for not buying organic, but I can't really afford it now. This makes me feel better!

    You're very welcome, Holly.

The German watchdog 'Stiftung Warentest' (translated: endowment for testing goods) really has a reputation to defend.

When I see that something is of international interest, I'll surely post it.

And your American farmers and producers are also under scrutiny to harvest or produce safe food. Therefore, going not organic is a more inexpensive way of getting healthy nutrition.

It's not just about you. The planet is being destroyed by methods used in food processing and the chemicals used to prolong the life of produce. Adding @!$%# to food is never a good idea.

Why not? It's going to turn back into @!$%# anyway.
