Do not exceed 60 kph.

All vehicles mustn't use the road.

Pedestrians mustn't use the road.

Bicycles mustn't use the road.

Motorbikes and cars mustn't use the road.

left: Don't pass motor vehicles with more than two tires.
right: Trucks mustn't pass motor vehicles with more than two tires.

If you see a round, red framed sign you shall be aware of a prohibition.

Don't exceed a certain speed ! It's the sign with the black number in the white inner circle.

The basic sign - round, red framed with a white empty inner circle - means prohibition for this road to all vehicles, exceptions are made clear by an additional sign, basicly a rectangular white sign with a small black frame and the info "Anlieger frei", meaning for residents and visitors free.

The other prohibition signs give the details by the symbols in the inner white circle.

Examples:

#1 Pedestrians mustn't use the road. (valid for some off city roads or fast traffic roads, autobahns are off-limits, too)

#2 Bikes mustn't use the road.

#3 Cars and motorbikes mustn't use the road.

Really important are the signs:

#1 Don't pass motor vehicles with more than two tires. You are allowed to pass a motorbike but the motorbike mustn't pass a car.

#2 Trucks mustn't pass motor vehicles with more than two tires.

Almost like China

Here we also have a sign like Germany speed limit sign and one instead of red it is a black circle with a diagonal line across it and the numbers. This means end of the posted speed zone.

Also we have the blue round sign with a red circle. One diagonal line across means short term or emergency stopping only with a red "X" it means no stopping at any time.

Than again in China not only do most not obey the signs they think the traffic lights are for decoration use only LOL

Really state of the art here with traffic lights some has a actual seconds clock showing how much time before the light turns color (red green) and others use a descending led bar.

other area there are intersections no signs no lights, just hit the accelerator and hope for the best.

Very interesting post Josh wonder if this is going to be the new international signage for traffic. It seems many countries are adopting the round signs with red borders and the max speed posted
