SourceLast Sunday, in Winden on the Lake Neusiedl, at Karl's, mum and I had a season speciality "Asparagus Cordon Bleu".
Wow, I can sprongly recommend this, yummy taste without too many cals. You can make veggie style as well, just don't add cooked ham.
Well, the recipe:
For one "asparagus cordon bleu", you need:
3 medium size asparagus sticks
2 slices of low fat gouda or cheddar
2 slices of cooked ham
fine breadcrumbs for the cover
1 egg, flour
Preparation:
For making the bread crust, you have to mix the breadcrumbs with an egg and flour.
Wrap the asparagus sticks with the ham first, then the cheese.
Cover the wrapped asparagus with the mix of flour-egg-breadcrumbs.
Bake the whole composition in a pan with sunflower or rape seed oil.
Additionally, prepare a Sauce Hollandaise
Recommended beverage:
Lager beer or white wine
Oh okay, dish size - for one adult you ought to make at least 2 asparagus cordon bleus.
